School Council Advocates for Safer Roads: Presents Petition to Reading Borough Council

Hemdean House School Council representatives were invited to the @readingcouncil offices on yesterday evening to address the Traffic Management Sub-Committee and present their petition. Our pupils highlighted the urgency of the matter, emphasizing the need for increased safety measures due to the high speed of passing vehicles within the designated school zone. Concerns were raised about the lack of noticeable signs indicating the presence of a school on Hemdean Road, contributing to the potential hazards faced by students and parents. We are beyond proud of how eloquently they presented their case which was well received by the members of the committee!! Watch this space
