Charitable Causes

This week we have been enjoying Harvest Festival. The Harvest Festival is a traditional event celebrating the successful gathering of the year’s crops, giving thanks and sharing with those less fortunate and in need.

All food parcels have been collected and gratefully received. We believe we have exceeded last year’s donations made to ReadiFood and thanks to the generosity of our families, despite the impact COVID has had on a lot of people. We’ll announce the exact amount when we hear from ReadiFood.

In the spirit of helping charitable causes, Year 1 chose to sponsor a Guide Dog. We asked children to come to school dressed up in costumes or dressed down in home clothes and bring a donation. And the teachers joined in too! The school managed to raise £128.70 which will be split between Guide Dogs and Hearing Dogs.
