Thank you very much to everyone that contributed to our Bag2School fundraising and recycling initiative. We managed to collect a staggering 182kg of unwanted items. This successfully raised £91 for Hemdean House School. We hope that by educating our children on the importance of recycling with special emphasis on textiles, the concept of textile recycling will become part of everyday life for generations to come. As an estimated £140 million worth (350,000 tonnes) of used clothing currently goes to landfill in the UK every year. We would also like to encourage everyone to extend the active life of clothing. We will be having another Bag2School collection on Friday, 30 June 2023.
