Odd Socks Day – Anti Bullying Week

15th November 22

Odd Socks Day is a national school event which aims to celebrate differences and promote a positive message of respecting individuality.

The theme for this year’s Anti-Bullying Week was ‘Reach Out’, encouraging children not to stay quiet and to be proactive when they see or experience anti-social behaviour.

If we challenge bullying, we can change it and it starts by Reaching Out.

Eve in Year 2 was inspired to write a story about reaching out:

“One day at school there were some bullies who always did something mean and blamed it on the other person but there was one bully who was always honest. The other bullies wanted him to be mean but one day that person said to the bullies don’t be mean and they did not be mean ever again. The End”
